The Dogecoin Foundation are aiming to Jamaican bobsled team to the Sochi winter Olympics. Dogecoin works on the same basic principle as Bitcoin, however the currency rate is worth less that Bitcoin. The Dogecoin Foundation is a non-profit organization created by the founders of Dogecoin for the purpose of spreading the use of the currency through goodwill and charitable endeavors. So far they have raised $30,000 in Dogecoin. The two-man sled will be piloted by Winston Watt, a 46-year-old Jamaican-American who also competed in 2002, with Marvin Dixon as the brakeman.Within a few hours, however, the fundraiser had collected just over 26m Dogecoins. So many people had been donating, in fact, that they seemed to raise the price of the currency itself; in 12 hours, the Dogecoin to Bitcoin exchange rate rose by 50%.
